Dear Sisters,
I understand the weight of trauma, the sting of shame, and the feeling of not being enough. I've been there. My journey has taught me that we don't have to be defined by our past. We have the power to break free, to heal, and to step into a life of purpose.
My philosophy is rooted in the idea that we must "shame our shame." This means refusing to allow our past experiences to silence us or dictate our future. It's about embracing our true selves, with all our imperfections, and recognizing that we are worthy of love, respect, and belonging.
I believe in servant leadership. I am here to serve you, to walk alongside you, and to empower you to find your voice. You are not alone. There is hope, there is support, and you have the power within you to transform your life. Next Level Living and I are here to guide you on that journey.

About Phyllis
Phyllis Smart's journey is one of resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to serving others. Her personal experience with trauma ignited a passion to be the support for others that she didn’t have, driving her to create a ministry and become a "shame shifter."
In 2017, Phyllis was called by God to Allendale, a place she had only known through her ex-husband. Despite initial resistance, she recognized the community's deep need and embraced the challenge. She obtained a building for $1 for a year, which she sees as a sign of divine favor and confirmation of her calling.
Phyllis is not only the founder of The SmartBox, but also an ordained licensed evangelist, a town council member in Fairfax, and a dedicated advocate for the Allendale community. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a voice and the opportunity to thrive. She is a social servant, working tirelessly to empower individuals, break down barriers, and create a community where everyone feels valued and supported.
Phyllis is known for her direct, yet warm and empathetic approach, her sassy personality, and her unwavering commitment to "shaming shame" and helping people live their best lives. She strives to live without labels, wanting to be known for her work and her genuine care for people
